
Professor Martin Lipset
Born 1922, Died 2006
Seymour Martin Lipset, a Hoover Institution senior fellow and former Stanford political science professor who was regarded as one of the most influential social scientists of the late 20th century, died of a stroke Dec. 31, 2006, in Arlington, Va. He was 84.
Professor Alexander George
Born 1920, Died 2006
Alexander L. George, the Graham H. Stuart Professor of International Relations, Emeritus, internationally known for his pioneering work in political psychology and foreign policy, died on Aug. 16 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. George was 86.
